Welcome
About Us
I am the mother of a 10 year old boy who has autism. We've been using ABA therapy for the past 4 years and we also home-school. Many times in the past several years I've been frustrated and disappointed at the lack of readily available resources to use in teaching and have resorted to creating my own. I've heard the same complaint from many parents and decided to share the resources that I've developed.
Most of the items on this site will be flash card sets put together specifically to use in coordination with the ABLLS‑R © (The Assessment of Basic Language and Learning Skills Revised) protocol. The ABLLS‑R © is an assessment tool developed and copyrighted by Dr. James Partington Ph.D., BCBA-D. The tool helps parents and professionals identify strengths and weaknesses or missing Verbal Language Skills and develop an IEP, individual curriculum or intervention strategies. By intensively teaching a very precise verbal skill, therapists, parents and educators are able to help children with deficits in these areas develop a well mastered and generalized verbal skill set upon which the child can continue to build.
The sets of cards you will find here were developed to target specific verbal skills or goals, that are identified through the ABLLS‑R © assessment, as weak or missing skills. Anyone familiar with and using the ABLLS‑R ©, will be able to locate the sets of pictures they need, listed by the skill (or program) number.
These sets can also be used outside of ABA therapy or by people not using the ABLLS‑R © , and will have clear product names and descriptions so you will know what you're getting. I will also provide some products under General Education that any parent or educator can find multiple uses for - such as sets of pictures of animals. They can be used to teach characteristics of animals, animal sounds, groups of animals by habitat or common location, parts of living things, matching parents to babies etc.
All products are available for printing via electronic access, as single item purchases, and are intended for a single user and are restricted to download and print 1 time. If you have a need for multiple printings of the same program or programs (ABA companies!) please view the Volume Pricing page for more details on what is available. You may also send me an email with your requirements and I will happily work with you on a custom package to fit your needs.
At this time, there are programs under several of the language operants, but I will be constantly developing and adding new programs all the time. Each program takes many hours to find just the right pictures, assemble them, format them into the correct sizes and get the program ready for distribution. Each program will include more than is required for mastery, if using the ABLLS‑R © protocol. Also, I am dedicated to not using a single image in more than one program. The more images and stimuli our children are exposed to, the more opportunity for fluent generalization and success. There may be a few isolated instances when I cannot avoid it, but over 95% of images will be unique and never repeated.
Several Important Points:
- I am not a therapist, teacher or other professional qualified to help you develop your program, or tell you how to use these cards. I am only providing teaching aides to use with whatever program or technique you choose to use with your child.
- The ABLLS‑R © protocol was developed and copyrighted by Dr. James Partington Ph.D., BCBA-D. I am not associated with Dr. Partington or the development of this wonderful tool, but am very familiar with its use in ABA therapy. - These products have been formatted to prevent saving to your local computer. They are intended for open & print access only, and by purchasing the product you are agreeing to honor that intent and NOT try to circumvent the security measures I've applied.
